Cookie Policy
Last Updated: August 6, 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how RaspberryPints, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or interact with our services (collectively, the "Services"). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and how you control them.
Essential cookies are required for the Services to work and are always set. Every other category, including analytics and advertising, is set only after you opt in through our cookie banner. Continuing to browse is not treated as consent, and we do not set optional cookies while you are deciding.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, RaspberryPints) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., advertising, interactive content, and analytics). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.
3. Why Do We Use Cookies?
We use first-party and third-party cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Services to operate, and we refer to these as "essential" or "strictly necessary" cookies. Other cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our Services. Third parties serve cookies through our Services for advertising, analytics, and other purposes.
The specific types of first and third-party cookies served through our Services and the purposes they perform are described below:
3.1 Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary to provide you with services available through our Services and to use some of its features, such as access to secure areas. Because these cookies are strictly necessary to deliver the Services to you, you cannot refuse them without impacting how our Services function.
- Session Cookies: Used to operate our Services
- Authentication Cookies: To identify you when you log in to our Services
- Security Cookies: To protect our users and prevent fraudulent use of user accounts
3.2 Performance and Functionality Cookies
These cookies are used to enhance the performance and functionality of our Services but are non-essential to their use. However, without these cookies, certain functionality may become unavailable.
- Preference Cookies: Remember settings and preferences such as language preferences
- Feature Cookies: Recognize you when you return to our Services to enhance your experience
3.3 Analytics and Customization Cookies
These cookies collect information that is used either in aggregate form to help us understand how our Services are being used or how effective our marketing campaigns are, or to help us customize our Services for you. Some of these tools also record session replays — visual recordings of how visitors navigate our Services — to help us identify usability issues and improve the experience.
- Google Analytics: Used to collect information about how visitors use our Services
- Fullstory: Used to record session replays and product analytics events so we can understand how visitors interact with our Services and identify usability issues. For visitors who are not signed in, sessions are anonymous; for signed-in users, sessions are associated with the user's account so we can provide better support and troubleshooting
3.4 Advertising Cookies
These cookies make advertising more relevant to you and let us measure how our campaigns perform. They load only if you turn on the Advertising category. They are never loaded under the Analytics category, and they do not load at all if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Turning Advertising off also stops us sharing information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Meta Pixel: Used by Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure ad performance and to show you RaspberryPints ads on Meta platforms. Sets the
_fbpcookie - PromoteKit: Attributes referrals from our affiliate partners so they are credited for a sale. Sets the
promotekit_referralcookie
4. How Can You Control Cookies?
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie preferences in the following ways:
4.1 Browser Controls
Most web browsers allow you to manage your cookie preferences. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or delete certain cookies. Generally, you can also manage similar technologies in the same way that you manage cookies – using your browser's preferences.
Please note, if you choose to block cookies, you may not be able to sign in or use other features of our Services, and portions of our Services may not work properly.
4.2 Cookie Preference Tools
We provide you with a Cookie Preference Tool when you first visit our website. You can access this tool at any time by clicking on "Cookie Preferences" in the footer of our website. This tool allows you to select which categories of cookies you accept or reject.
4.3 Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or a browser extension sends GPC, we treat it as a binding opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Advertising cookies will not load, the Advertising toggle in your cookie preferences will be turned off and locked, and this applies automatically without you needing to sign in, create an account, or verify your identity.
GPC applies to the browser and device sending the signal. If you use a different browser or device, enable it there too.
4.4 Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" or "DNT" setting. There is still no uniform standard for what DNT means or how sites should respond, so we do not act on DNT signals. GPC is a different signal with a defined legal meaning, and as described above, we do honor it.
4.5 Third-Party Opt-Out Tools
For cookies and similar technologies used for advertising, you can opt out of targeted advertising by using these tools:
5. Cookies We Use
The table below lists the specific cookies and similar storage we use and why. Some of the items we rely on are stored in your browser's local storage rather than as cookies. We list them here anyway, because the same rules and the same choices should apply regardless of the storage mechanism.
| Cookie Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| CognitoIdentityServiceProvider.* | Essential (local storage) | Set by AWS Cognito to keep you signed in and to hold your session tokens | Until you sign out or the token expires |
| pints_cookie_consent | Essential (local storage) | Records that you have responded to the cookie banner, so we stop asking | Until cleared |
| pints_cookie_preferences | Essential (local storage) | Records which cookie categories you accepted, so we can honor your choice | Until cleared |
| pints_legal_consent | Essential (local storage) | Records which version of our Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted at signup, and when | Until cleared |
| _ga | Analytics | Used by Google Analytics to distinguish users | 2 years |
| _gid | Analytics | Used by Google Analytics to identify users | 24 hours |
| _fbp | Advertising | Used by Facebook to deliver advertisements | 3 months |
| fs_uid | Analytics | Used by Fullstory to identify a unique visitor across sessions for session replay and product analytics | 1 year |
| fs_lua | Analytics | Used by Fullstory to track the most recent activity timestamp within a session | 30 minutes |
| promotekit_referral | Advertising | Used by PromoteKit to track affiliate referrals | 60 days |
6. Other Tracking Technologies
Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a website. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enables us to recognize when someone has visited our Services or opened an email that we have sent them. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within our Services to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to our Services from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of email marketing campaigns. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.
7. Mobile Applications
When you download or use our mobile applications, we may collect information about your device and visit using technologies similar to cookies. Our mobile applications may include SDKs, which are software components provided by third parties that allow us to collect information about app usage.
8. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please therefore re-visit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.
